BuzzBallz Watermelon Smash Cocktail is produced by BuzzBallz – a Texas based spirits company that produces a variety of ready-to-drink cocktail, wine chiller, and malt beverage products.

This particular bottle of Watermelon Smash Cocktail is made using vodka, real watermelon juice, and other flavors and colors. It is advertised as Kosher and gluten-free.

I took a whiff of this BuzzBallz, and there was a clear watermelon scent. It smelled somewhat fresh at first, but as I continued, the aroma became quite musty.
I took my first sip, and there was a musty and almost spoiled quality to the watermelon notes. Although it was palatable, there was really nothing refreshing or balanced about the flavor. As I continued drinking it, I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing to make it a complete cocktail.
RATING: 1/5
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with this package of BuzzBallz Watermelon Smash. Though I certainly wasn’t expecting a premium product at this price point, I at least expected something sweet and somewhat satisfying. What I got instead was a musty drink that I simply tolerated until it was gone.
The flavor mixture felt very unbalanced, and it really seemed like an ingredient, even though it is marketed as a ready-to-drink cocktail. All I wanted to do was add some lime juice, and maybe even a bit of sugary soda to cover the flavor! Although the cocktail is reasonably smooth, I could also taste that the vodka used was low quality.
In addition, it was disappointing to learn that the company was bought out by a large corporation earlier this year, when it was previously woman-owned. All in all, I will not be drinking BuzzBallz again, and I cannot recommend it.
As always, drink responsibly.
