About Pravda Vodka
Pravda Vodka is produced by Pravda – a Poland-based brand that produces handcrafted rye vodka.
Made using sweet rye grain and spring water from the Carpathian Mountain Reserve, Pravda Vodka undergoes a thorough 5-step distillation process in column stills. They take special pride in the next step, which involves a uniquely designed copper still that claims to result in an extra fine and gentle flavor.
The spirit and the spring water are then blended through a slow, 2-week long process to produce what Pravda describes as an “Azeotropic mixture”. Afterwards, the mixture undergoes a charcoal filtration process using a unique charcoal sourced from french forests. It is cold stabilized before bottling.

My Tasting notes
I took my first whiff of this vodka, and the aroma was sweet and grainy. The distinctive vodka scent was present, but felt a little more complex and dimensional than average. There was a whisper of warm fruitiness in the background.
I took a sip, and a harsh bitterness met my mouth. I couldn’t immediately put words to the flavor, but my tongue did a whole dance trying to mellow things out. As I continued, I could taste the rye grain flavor, and pictured the original plant in my mind’s eye. Even as my mouth rejected the taste, I could recognize that many people will like this flavor.

Ingredients
- 2oz vodka
- 5oz soda water
Instructions
- fill a tall glass with ice
- pour your vodka over the ice, and follow it up with about 5oz of soda water
- gently stir to combine the ingredients, and enjoy!
When combined with the soda water, I found the flavor of this vodka to be a bit more pleasant. The rye flavors came out nicely, and the drink tasted simple and refreshing. There was a fresh clarity to the flavor. Unfortunately, my body didn’t really care for it afterwards, as I began to feel a bit nauseated.
Bottom Line
RATING: 2/5
While Pravda Vodka didn’t wow me, I am trying to put my biases aside and put myself in the shoes of a vodka lover. As a result, my feelings are a bit mixed.
Personally, I did not enjoy the flavor of this vodka at all. The strong notes of rye just did not satisfy my taste buds. Not only that, but I felt a bit nauseated after finishing my vodka soda. I don’t see myself choosing Pravda Vodka again.
That said, if you’re interested in vodkas that have a little more character, it may be worth picking up a bottle to try for yourself. You may find that the flavors suit your fancy. Just consider yourself warned that they did not suit mine!
